Ponderings after the San Bernardino Rampage

by Lynn Heatley,   Recently, my husband and I moved from our home of 30+ years in Chino Hills back to my hometown of Riverside, CA.  I have lived in the Inland Empire (IE) all my life (IE known as Riverside and San Bernardino counties).  Although the area is sometimes disdained by outsiders, the people in the Inland Empire have amazing hearts of generosity and are the most down to earth people I know and who have very caring hearts.  I love the IE.

Do It Afraid – Moving forward in this New Year!

by Lynn Heatley    Years ago, I attended a Joyce Meyer conference and experienced a new place of inner freedom just by going past the book table.  On the book table, there was a little booklet by Joyce and the title of it was: “Do It Afraid”.  Who knew that 3 simple words, strung together, would produce a new wave of freedom in the interior of my soul and the exterior of my future actions!

Doing Good…in the Community of Tustin

by Lynn Heatley   Last Wednesday, I had the wonderful opportunity to share at the Tustin Chamber of Commerce about Covered California.    This has been an area that I have been able to go “out and about” in cities and share about various health care options.  As an RN, I know the importance of having health insurance.  I know that fifty percent of all those that have to file bankruptcy do so because they have encountered an unforeseen medical emergency.   And because of this, it is important to have health insurance, for the known and unknown needs that arise.

A Word to the Company of Josephs

It was a time when I was working as an associate pastor on a church staff and my husband, a businessman, was leading in his company. I had struggled in our marriage with the belief that my husband needed to become more involved in ministry life. After a time of prayer, the Lord gave me some divine insights that changed my whole way of thinking.
