Spiritual Formation: What it is, and How it is Done

by Dallas Willard.  A few scripture passages point us to the place in human personality that is the focus of spiritual formation… Proverbs 4:20-24 reminds us to keep the words of God’s wisdom “in the midst of your heart,” and that from there “they are life to those who find them, and health to all their whole body.” (vss. 21-22 NAS) Then comes the exhortation, “Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life.” (vs. 23).

Flows of Grace

From Lynn Heatley. Lately, I have been thinking about seasons and how they flow with various intensities.  And it reminded me of the ebb and flow of waves….always constant, never changing.  As I pondered this, I began to see God’s grace in how He arranges life….flows of intensity along with flows of rest, a time to work and a time to sleep, a time for winter where the fields go silent and deep and times of harvest with much activity and outflow.

God’s Goodness Reigns 24/7

From Lynn Heatley. Lately, I have been in a place of telling God I am sorry.  Mainly for how I/we primarily contain Him to Sundays only.  The more I know God and his goodness, the more I understand how His story is really really good news to all of us.  Every day of the week.  In every part of our life, whether we are working or playing, singing or sighing…His love and faithfulness remains constant. May the way that we live and love give a shout out to the glory and kindness of our God to all those around us….7 days a week, wherever God has placed us.

More on Foundations of God

By Leona Andrews.  The Lord has been so faithful since moving here November 16,2011. His presence has been most prevalent in this dwelling with peace and protection–as many have prayed for this here. But also as Lynn and Terri laid a foundation of sabbathing here for 6 months, This also helped to create a new foundation of His presence more and for His new thing He is doing here.

Foundations

By Lynn Heatley. This past year, we have looked and prayed about FOUNDATIONS.  All types of foundations.  In our family histories, in the history of the city and our nation, in our spiritual understanding.  And as we have looked around us, we have come to understand that the Lord is doing a new work in this area.
