More on Foundations of God

By Leona Andrews.  The Lord has been so faithful since moving here November 16,2011. His presence has been most prevalent in this dwelling with peace and protection–as many have prayed for this here. But also as Lynn and Terri laid a foundation of sabbathing here for 6 months, This also helped to create a new foundation of His presence more and for His new thing He is doing here.

Since the Lord has been highlighting “foundations ” as Lynn has written. I would like to share some personal reflection He is doing with me. So many who visit here comment on how this home reminds them of own grandmother’s home. Since this house belonged to Lynn’s grandmother you can understand how this connection happens.

Likewise I have also been uncovering more about my grandmother whom I am her namesake. We called her “Granny” and I only knew her in her last 15 years of living.  She didn’t share stories about her past or family history. But made discovery via internet of how much loss she encountered with family members. Over the course of years before I was born, she lost her parents, young son, brother, and husband. He has been showing me, through memories I have of her; as to what virtue He wants me to inherit from this foundation to bring forward.  That being her delight in beauty.

Beauty in flowers, gardening, food, music, reading, listening, decorating, delicate aromas of scented powder and “Clove” chewing gum, close friendships, and quietness of presence.  After my own share of losses in life, I am embracing this virtue more.  And asking God to give me eyes to see more of His beauty in this city also. Reflections of Him laid in the foundation here and to enlarge my heart more for this land and His story in it. And He is being faithful in bringing that to pass.  But not only past stories of Him but also new stories of Him and what He wants to do here.

Isaiah 33:17   Your eyes will see the King in His beauty; they will see the land that is very far off.
Psalm 90:17  And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands for us; Yes, establish the work of our hands.
Isaiah 61:3   To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes….
Come and visit sometime and see what foundational work He may do in your life and to possibly join with Him on what He is doing here in Riverside.
